You too can be Ironman!
Do you want to start with triathlon? Then welcome to the right address!
I'll help you on your way to triathlon
I will teach you to swim, run and ride from sprint to Ironman
I'll help you get started. Most of the work for beginners is usually with swimming technique, so you will learn it in a rented track at the pool. I'll help you to design a training plan for all three sports and together we'll discuss your performance and technique. With modern technology it is possible to do many things even remotely online.
You can become part of my triathlon group, where there are great people. None of us are top athletes, but we want to get better and enjoying the sport is our biggest reward. I organize triathlon camps where we get motivation and train together.
My typical trainee is a man or woman who has already had a career in one of the sports, but is new to triathlon. I guide them through the beginning and lead them to their main goal, which is usually a half Ironman or Ironman race within a year or two.
My philosophy in sports
Who I am and why I want to advise you in triathlon
I like endurance sports because they are true. They can't be cheated or bought. They can be enjoyed in a group and have fun. But they can be also done individually and the time can be used for contemplation and sorting ideas.
I started with triathlon relatively late and without much experience. Especially in swimming and cycling, which was new to me, many people advised, encouraged and inspired me. I would like to pay it back by helping also you. This project is not primarily commercial. The reason why I do this is mainly from enthusiasm. I will be happy to help you in your beginnings with advice and consultations according to my time possibilities. If you would like more attention from me and you want me to lead you in your training, lets discuss it individually.
I got a good general sports basics at an athletic elementary sports school. Then I spent several years orienteering, cross-country skiing, cycling and later snowboarding. After a long break in performance sports, when we, with my wife Klára, raised two children, I returned to endurance running at the age of 37 (2010) and started running marathons. In 2014, I added swimming and cycling and started training for the first Ironman. I did it in 2016 in Zurich and then every year one another.
In 2017, I started studying triathlon at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Charles University in Prague, and in 2020 I successfully graduated with a bachelor's exam and a Triathlon coaching certificate. Take a look at my bachelor's thesis. (in Czech) I have worked on a topic Analysis of the current state of training records in triathlon.
I am willing to share with you my theoretical knowleadge and my practical experience from training and competing, especially for long triathlon distances, if you want it.
I shot for you 3 min. video directly from the finish of Ironman Copenhagen 2019
My coaching license
My Triathlon coaching license of the 2nd grade I got by graduating at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague in 2020. I completed my study as the only student from my year of distance learning calss. (originally 80 students started). Studying at this faculty is very demanding, because students have to complete about 60 subjects in their bachelor's studies, of which about 50% are practical from about 20 different sports plus their specialization. Everyone must thus demonstrate a great deal of general talent and, above all, effort, which makes this faculty completely unique on a global scale. In addition to triathlon, I am also a skiing instructor (cross-country and downhill) and even a canoe and kayak instructor. :)

What will help you the most in triathlon beginnings? Get advice from an experienced coach. This will shorten the long journey that we all know well, it is called "learning by doing". I can highly recommend, my friend DS. He knows the triathlon topics not only theoretically but also practically as he is multiple Ironman. Many times he helped me to answer my questions concerning the technique of individual disciplines, equipment, training structure, racing strategy, or advices regarding nutrition during the race. All these small parts are important for the final result of your efforts. Borek, thank you!

Whether you are solving the selection of suitable races, finetuning a training plan for the next year, improving performance and technique, or even compensatory exercises, Dalibor can always contribute with some interesting knowledge and broaden your horizons. In addition to his theoretical knowledge, he is an active triathlete himself, so he has personal experience from many running and triathlon races, which very valuable. Dalibor is keen in triathlon and you can feel it!

I used to train track&field et a sports basic school (the same as Borek :) I also competed in skiing, but then I quit sports for a long time. A few years ago, Borek introduced me to endurance sports again. First to running and then to triathlon. Thanks to that, I even finished few half marathons and two half Ironmans! I would never have believed that before! He was able to motivate and lead me well!

I never thought I would ever enjoy swimming. Thanks to Dalibor and his positive attitude, I gradually mastered the basic technique of crawl. As a beginner, I mainly wanted to swim to feel well and healthy, stretching my sore back. I don't have any ambitions to race but it definitely helped me to reach a better lifestyle.

Borek motivated me to start running. I wouldn't believe that I am talented for endurance and that I will even run a marathon! And that I will even look forward to it. I started swimming crawl and I also enjoy it! It's a great muscle compensation for running.

When I decided to do the triathlon, the goal was the highest - to finish the whole Ironman. So I wasted no time and found my coach Borek. In addition to training plans and techniques for each discipline, Borek not only gave me insight into the world of triathlon and guided me through my first races, but he also gave me individual attention with respect to my time, which was divided between work, training and taking care of my one-year-old son. I have now completed my first 1/2 ironman in a great time and the motivation is all the greater. If you are looking for a partner coach, Borek is a great choice.

I basically started triathlon training six months ago. I've always been a runner, a year ago I discovered the magic of road cycling and all I had left was swimming... I googled triathlon coach - and that was Borek - and I was very lucky. He helped me get started in swimming (I've never swum a 100m crawl before), recommended triathlon training groups and introduced me to a lot of amazing people around triathlon. He gave me a lot of valuable advice that I can't imagine my first race this year without, and because of that, I enjoyed it and plan to keep doing triathlon. He consulted me sensitively about my training, motivated me, inspired me and all this in a completely non-violent way. Thanks to him I managed to successfully complete one sprint (Poděbrady Triathlon) and two halves (Hamrman 113 and Ironman 70.3 in Zell am See) this season. Thanks to Borek for introducing me to a great sport and I look forward to more races!
