Biking
Many triathletes are recruited from cyclists. Cycling is the least demanding part of triathlon from a technical point of view, but that doesn't mean we don't have to do it. Here, too, it takes a relatively long time to properly handle the fastest and most economical movement possible. The cycling part of a triathlon race and its concept differ significantly depending on whether it is a short or long triathlon. Even in cycling, it is true that at a certain age (12-14 years) the acquired skills and habits are an advantage that we can bring to the period when it is necessary to devote increased training efforts to cycling. In contrast to swimming, cycling has the plus that its technical mastery in triathlon can be caught up even at a later age. For the sake of simplicity, we can divide the technique of cycling into two parts. It is its own pedaling technique, the efficiency of which has a more fundamental share in performance and driving technique as such. It is necessary to learn to deal with different situations in different conditions. Basic technical skills include: technique and frequency of pedaling and posed, specifics of riding on a plane, from the saddle, boarding, braking, cornering, climbing, descending, gear selection and refreshments while driving. When driving in a group, it is also about riding on a hook in different wind directions and alternation. In triathlon, technical skills can also include horizontal bar riding, cycling and dismounting, including footwear and footwear while riding. Mastering the right technique requires more practice. We organize various bike rides together where we learn all this. In a classic triathlon, you ride a road bike. For beginners, the classic "road" with rams will suffice, with which even short races are run. For a race in medium and long triathlon, where you ride "hookless", an additional "bar" or a straight specialized time lapse wheel with an integrated bar and a slightly different frame geometry is used. For the variability of training, it is sometimes appropriate to ride a mountain bike, which is also used for off-road triathlon races.
